Summer of 2016, Tallinn. Telliskivi Creative City offered a friendly and supportive environment – a huge and empty warehouse for the good and fragile ideas to emerge and grow. Inspired from the colour of the building, the industrial feeling we created Punane Maja (The Red House).

Logo and visual identity concept for the concert venue and night club Punane Maja was made by VÄLK, visually designed by Robi Jõeleht (Polaar). The design was inspired by old movie theatre signage and the goal was to create a system for posters and banners that would allow to create varying designs. Graphic design was nominated with GOLD medal at Estonian Design Awards 2016.

Telliskivi summer-club Punane Maja curated music-events in the summer of 2016 – cocktails, live-music and ideal club-nights! During the course of 5 moths more 75 cultural events and concerts were held. Including fashion shows, cooking conferences, live-music and DJ parties hosting a wide variety of artists ranging from Peaches (CA), Robert Owens (US) to Tommy Cash, A-Rühm and many more. On Wednesday evenings annual ping-pong tournaments were held. Visual content for parties and VFX solutions for events were created by visual artist Aleksander Sprohgis. Photography by Aron Urb (Orants).

Punane Maja is a summer memoir 2016 in Tallinn.
